Getting here
Driving
Franklin Federated Church is located at 171 Main St, at the corner of the Franklin Common at Main and High Streets. We have a large parking lot and there is ample parking on the street as well.
Public Transportation
Best to use the Commuter Rail, Franklin/495 Line, and get off at Dean College Station. Walk up and out of the station lot to Main St. and walk north on Main St. about half a mile. Franklin Federated Church will be on the right. Visit the MBTA web site for more info or contact us for help.
Once you arrive
Look for the "Welcome" sign on the right walkway to enter the building through the main stairs featuring a steady railing. On the left side of the building in the back is a ramp.
What to expect
Worship
Worship at Franklin Federated Church takes place on Sunday mornings at 10am in the sanctuary. You will see people dressed in all ways and styles. Dress in whatever fashion is comfortable for you.
Once you step inside the church, Greeters will welcome you and direct you where to go. At the sanctuary entrance (the sanctuary is where we worship) you'll be greeted by an Usher who will give you a worship bulletin and will be happy to help you find a place to sit.
The worship service includes announcements, a Call to Worship, reading of scripture, a word for all ages, sermon, hymns or songs, prayer time, offering and closing words.
Children are invited to remain in worship with their families. We have activity bags with books, paper and crayons for younger children to use during worship. Parents with toddlers who need space to move around more freely are welcome to make themselves at home in our parlor which is open to the sanctuary.
Music
The worship music is "blended." This means you will hear some old and familiar hymns, but you'll hear newer music too.
Special Worship
Throughout the year, there are special worship services: World Communion Sunday in early October, Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, Easter, and others.
Jazz Sunday
Youth Sunday
Accessibility
RAMP
For handicap parking and ramp access, enter up the driveway to the left (opposite side from the parking lot), or you can drive around the back of the building from the parking lot.
Large Print Bulletins
All of our weekly bulletins are printed in size 14 font and slides are projected.
The Isaiah Rocker
Isaiah rocker
"Comfort, O Comfort my people, says your God.”
-Isaiah 40:1
The Isaiah Rocker is located each Sunday at the back of the sanctuary during worship. It is intended as a place of comfort within the worship service; use it to comfort or feed your little one, or as a place to rock gently, breath deeply and exhale completely. Our hope is that the rocker will be a haven to those that need its physical, mental, or spiritual benefits each Sunday.
